This week on ABC FOX Montana we bring you a cold case murder mystery and where the investigation stands today.
Dexter Stefonek went missing on a road trip through Montana in 1987. His car was found burned at the Bad Route Rest Stop outside Glendive, and his body turned up months later a few miles away in a trash heap.
The killer was never brought to justice, but the cold case was reopened in 2012. We interviewed the current Dawson County sheriff to find out where the investigation stands today, and the clue that he thinks could still lead to a suspect.
Listen to that interview and learn about the theories and facts surrounding this case in the pilot episode of our new podcast, MONTANA MURDER MYSTERIES.
