Ben Wineman is an evening news anchor with ABC FOX Montana. He is a 2016 graduate of the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University, where he graduated with Honors, and has earned minors in Sports Management, Political Science, and History.
Ben joined ABC FOX as a sports anchor in May of 2016. For two and a half years, he covered the Montana Grizzlies, Montana State Bobcats, local high school sports, minor league baseball, and everything else that comes with a very active sporting community in Western Montana. During his time reporting on sports, he was awarded as the runner up for the E.B. Craney “Sportscaster of the Year” Award from the Montana Broadcaster’s Association in 2018.
In October of 2018, Ben transitioned into his current role as an evening news anchor with ABC FOX, where you can watch him every Monday-Friday night at 5:30 PM and 10:00 PM on ABC Montana, and 9:00 PM on FOX Montana with his co-host Angela Marshall.
Ben’s mother and father met and graduated from the University of Montana, so he has enjoyed a homecoming of sorts, and making Missoula his own. Ben grew up in Woodinville, Washington, and was Woodinville High School’s “Voice of the Falcons”, calling women’s basketball games and doing the morning announcements at school.
When he is not on television, Ben enjoys being outside in Big Sky Country, playing golf, going out to the movies, and eating PB&Js whenever he can.
