HAMILTON, Mont. - Ravalli County Public Health has confirmed six new cases of coronavirus in the county. Health officials say there are three more tests connected to the investigation that are pending at the State Lab.
Ravalli County says all new cases are males. Four are in the 10-20 age range and two are in their 60s. This brings the total active cases in the county to seven, after a new case was reported Monday, May 19. According to health officials, the first case is currently hospitalized and the other 6 are isolated at home.
Public health officials say the new cases are being classified as a cluster outbreak, meaning they were all together. An early investigation indicates that travel played a role in the new infections.
Ravalli County Public Health says it continues to investigate and has placed over 30 identified contacts in quarantine. This is an ongoing investigation.
