...AN AREA OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT CENTRAL MONTANA THROUGH 4 AM... At 200 AM, an area of heavy snow was located from near Belt to Hobson, moving south at 25 mph. Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this area of heavy snow. Snowfall rates near one inch per hour are possible through 4 AM around Monarch, Neihart, Windham and Hobson. This includes the following portions of Highway 200 from Belt to Hobson, and Highway 89 from Belt to White Sulphur Springs. Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a half mile in this area of heavy snow. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.
