KALISPELL - Firefighters responded to a fire at a trailer-home early Wednesday morning in Kalispell that left two children dead and one person with critical injuries. 

According to the release from the Kalispell Fire Department (KFD), when crews responded to the fire located on East California Street around 12:57 am, and there was no visible fire but there was some smoke.

Firefighters found and rescued three people inside the trailer-home after searching. All three people appeared critical and they all received medical treatments with the help of medical aid.

An ambulance brought all three people to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. 

Two children were reported to have died, identified as Deeana Bass, 2, and Ryker Bass, 3. The third person is still reported to have critical injuries as of a release from KFD sent just before 3:00 pm Friday.

KFD says the fire was mainly contained in the first room of the trailer and has been extinguished.

The incident was determined to be accidental, however, the fire of the cause is currently undetermined.

The structure has been deemed a total loss with fire and heavy smoke damage.

A fire cause determination investigation has been performed mutually by the Kalispell Fire Department, Kalispell Police Department and the Montana State Fire Marshalls Office investigators.
