MISSOULA - Missoula County has officially closed Tower Street to public traffic due to flooding concerns.
The road is still open to residents however Missoula County park officials have also closed the Tower Street Conservation area because of rising flood waters.
According to the Missoula County Sheriff's office the road and park area will reopen once flood waters recede and any necessary repairs have been made.
Missoula County Emergency Management officials warn residents to avoid contact with floodwater as it may contain contaminates. Flooding can also destabilize trails and trees, making them unsafe for people and pets.
