NorthWestern Energy builds tradition of helping special needs students

Patrick Chapman, chances are if you have shopped at Super 1 foods on 10th Ave in Great Falls you know who Patrick is.

Before Super One Patrick worked with NorthWestern Energy as one of their secondary life skills program students. This program teaches young adults with special needs how to be independent, find a job and function in society just like everyone.

Patrick worked at NorthWestern for a year and a half during custodial work like sweeping the warehouse floors, breaking down boxes for recycling and spraying the garage floors, but thanks to the the life skills program and NorthWestern Energy, Patrick said this new opportunity has given him a brighter outlook on life.

Shana Chapman said that the skills Patrick have learned over the years might not seem like a big deal to some but when you don't have them, its a huge accomplishment to finally get them.
